Our Story

Donnchada Poodles began in 1973 with the birth of our first litter of standard poodles. The seven puppies were from a daughter of Ch. Bel Tor Success Story and sired by a young stud CH. Pass In Debauchery, six of the pups finished their AKC Championships and one became the All Breed Best In Show winner. This was the start of a never-ending love of poodles, breeding and exhibiting that continues to this day. 

Since that time Donnchada Poodles focus has been to breed beautiful healthy temperamentally sound miniature and standard poodles. 

Donnchada Poodles strives to breed poodles who excel in the conformation ring, in performance events, the obedience ring as therapy dogs and especially as a great companion dogs. 

The Donnchada Poodles has produced over 500 Champions in Conformation including Best in Show Winners in the United States and in other countries around the world. 

Donnchada Poodles has produced many top producing sires and dams over the years. 

Champion King's Champagne Taste was a co-breeding out of a Donnchada sire and dam, the result was a Top Producing Poodle Sire of all Time and Top Producing Non-Sporting Sire with 150 AKC Champion offspring. Ch. King's Champagne Taste was continuously at the top of the show conformation ratings and Top 20 Non-Sporting Dog in the nation. 

Donnchada Poodles dedication and contribution to breed standards has been recognized at the national level by Poodle Variety and the Poodle Club of America. We have been named Top Breeder of miniature and standard poodles by Poodle Variety and the Poodle Club of America numerous times.

Donnchada Poodles is proud to have contributed to the breeding lines of many other successful breeding programs, including Bar None, Myarka, Dulcinea, Bunkers, Dassin, J Forr, Arden, Starlit and many others.       

Donnchada Poodles are registered through the American Kennel Club and are exhibited at AKC shows. All statics are American Kennel Clubs records only.

Donnchada Poodles breeds to AKC Poodle Breed Standards. We do not breed parties or doodles.
